I am pretty curious to see the German versions of The Loud and Quiet Book which reads as The Loud Book from the front cover and The Quiet Book from the back cover. It has just been released this month. http://www.gerstenberg-verlag.de/index.php?id=detailansicht&url_ISBN=9783836954143

Teaser - Once Upon a Memory

Last week I sent the artwork for the cover of the picture book I just finished up, Once Upon a Memory, to the client for the designers to do their stuff. This is a shot of my computer screen showing a portion of the background. I was mentioning to a lovely visitor to my studio yesterday that travel is so important, without it ideas might never be. In this case we saw fireflies during the evenings on our trip - so magical I had to include them in the book!

Once Upon a Memory written by Nina Laden is to be published by Little Brown in December 2013.
 I will show the whole cover soon! Below is where we saw the fireflies although they did not show up in the photo. I guess you can't photograph magic!
