Too Quiet

I haven't posted in while but it's for a good reason, just finished and sent the rough sketches for the book I am working on. I am pretty pleased with the sketches but it is always tough to wait and see if the clients like them too! (fingers crossed)

Dog Days of San Francisco

I have been away in San Francisco for the last few weeks on an artist retreat - which for me, means walking to different coffee shops and doing drawings for a future book. It worked out really well, I got quite a lot of drawings done. I also got to see quite a lot of lovely dogs. San Francisco has so many wonderful dogs and dog parks, it was one of my favourite things about SF.

Under the Hood

Yesterday I stopped by a nice independent bookshop here in Calgary called Pages Books on Kensington, it often carries unique and quirky books. I found a quirky kids book I really liked called Under the Hood by Christophe Merlin. It is a pop-up book about Mr. Bear the mechanic finding unexpected things. It reminds me not to be too serious and just have fun!
